RIT Prof. Frank Romano gave an amusing and insightful presentation at BookTech this morning about books and eBooks. 'Printing began with books and will end with books', but printing won't go away any time soon. How and where books are printed will change a lot - he thinks on-demand presses, located in bookstores with coffee shops (or are they coffee shops with bookstores?) will account for nearly 50% of books printed by 2015.

Ooops, that's the BookTech conference. One drawback of emailing my Weblog is there's no 'undo'...

Beautiful morning in New York: pretty sunrise as I circumnavigated the reservoir in Central Park - it's actually warmer in NY than it has been in San Francisco. I'm here to speak at the conference BTW.
