But my current gig gives me flexible hours and I work at home when I'm not traveling. And, 10 years ago, I put in a garden space (photo) that should be as easy to handle as a garden gets. The whole garden is 75 square feet - 8 3x3-foot planter beds plus some pots in a side yard that was dead space before I built the planters.

Monday I'm off to Ladera Nursery for the hard part - 20 sacks of compost and soil: I already placed my seed order on www.burpee.com. Once the soil and plants are in, upkeep should be easy - and gardens are very good places to think. We're putting in heirloom tomatoes, golden beets, snap peas, pole beans, lettuce, golden cucumbers, kitchen herbs and a few flowers.

Frontier still exists and has been ported to OS X - up to Rev. 8.x I see - but has changed from a $200 shrink-wrap product to a $900/year license. Reasonable for a high-flow site that's generating revenue, but steep for a personal site.

Userland Radio may be hackable to do many of the same things: but I'll need time and a quiet place to work. Setting a goal of next Friday to have it all straightened out, one way or another...
