Lettuce is going for $3.00 a head according to John Hubbard. I know yellow bell peppers are fetching $4 a pound at our local market. At those prices, Dotcom Garden will easily turn a profit.. there's more that $100 worth of lettuce alone as we speak...

Dotcom Garden's home page is now more complete, and features local garden weather courtesy of the Weather Underground. I tracked down the free weather info feed after I spotted a neat time-and-weather gizmo on Roger Ridey's ridey.net site. The peppers are swooning after a cold, wet weekend, but otherwise all is well. Of course 'Weather Underground' meant something very different in the 60s...

The new Handspring Treo combo PDA and cell phone is reviewed here by Dan Bricklin. He likes it, and says he can type email on the small keyboard model twice as fast as he can on the Grafiti input model, thanks, apparently, to a clever small-keyboard algorithm. But you have to give up your cell phone number (and, in my case, provider) to switch...
