Full day: Planning and cooking takes time! (female readers need not send the 'duh..' email). I made lunch for our new neighbors, and dinner for Linda... watercress soup and 'kind' (2 kinds of every ingredient) salad for lunch, salmon fillets, mango chutney, brussel sprouts and a salad of eclectic leftovers for dinner.
Menus are hard.. it's like hacking non-linear algorithms. Our new neighbors, lovely people, are Mormon: so I had to find non-caffeine and non-alcoholic food and drink choices for lunch - drinks were particularly hard (we're Episcopalian and not nearly so good about caffeine and alcohol) - So we wound up with Pellegrino water and herbal tea. Think about it - iced tea, Coke and other soft drinks, coffee, and, of course, all wines are off the list.
Dinner, BTW, gave me the opportunity to try a 2000 Fogarty Gewurtztraminer (it's a tiny bit sweet) with the salmon. I liked it, Linda gave it a thumbs-down.
