April Fools: BareBones software announces PAD, a PDA that "goes everywhere, does everything, and can be used productively during airplane takeoff and landing, when everyone else has been asked to turn off their portable electronic devices." I think we're talking notePAD here, the dead-trees kind of data storage...

FCC Web site is Windows only for functions like addresss changes and radio license applications according to a beef in Linuxworld. Isn't the whole point of the Web that it's universally accessible? I realize this is the 3rd MS-related post today, but it's so easy... those guys are all over the place...

Crossover Office runs Office without Windows. You can run Office 97 and 2000 on Linux without an emulator using this product from CodeWeavers, according to InfoWorld. In theory, Microsoft should be thrilled, since it should increase Office sales. In practice, what do you bet Microsoft will go after Codeweavers...
