OK, OK, we have been busy (and having a heck of a time with our normally rock-solid PowerBook). Been at Kennedy Space Center for the (delayed) STS 110 launch, with former classmate Lee Morin. Had a ball - astronaut parties, tour of the facility, and met up with friends Cindy and Tony Sekura.
Got back Friday, just in time for Linda and I to head to L.A. where we saw the Jim Bellows PBS documentary, The Last Editor screened. Perceptive comment: "It should have been called 'The Best Editor'". I'm in Jim's book, of the same name, as a sidebar... Jim famously launched the careers of Jimmy Breslin, Tom Wolfe, Gail Sheehy ... and was one of those great mentors in my life. Stay tuned for photos, updates, tomorrow... I gotta hit the sack... |
