Server hell: hopefully you're reading this page, and your outraged emails to gulker.com are being read and answered. Our OS X mail server crashed really hard a couple days ago, leaving it with a blue screen - I could only get into it remotely - prompting me to set up another machine.
In the process, I managed to misconfigure the new mail server so we've had a couple of days of iffy email. If you've had bounces or other problems, try again: should be OK.
The old server is a real mystery, BTW. Under Mac OS 9 the machine used to crash pretty regularly, so I upgraded it from ASIP to Mac OS X server, and crashing continued. It continued to crash under OS X - the other 4 OS X machines here are very reliable: typically run for months without a reboot.
I suspect a hardware problem, even though the machine went to an Apple repair shop twice and no problem was ever found. I've replaced RAM and hard drive, moved the machine to a new place and all the other things I could think of. It's a 400 MHz Blue-and-White G3, BTW... if you know of any issues with these machines, please inform.
Anyway, we're pretty much completely off Classic Mac OS now: the whole domain is running under OS X or Linux, with new firewalls and better security stuff all around... kind of painful to configure (particularly the Linux machines) but hopefully will run for awhile. Cross fingers...
