More on slowdown: worm is also known as SQL slammer, and, globally, up to 20% of packets were lost (norm is around 1%). Currently running at about 5% loss, except in very hard-hit area like South Korea. Here's the CERT advisory and Internet Traffic Report (note wide swings in packet loss graph). When will our friends at Microsoft ever get their act together?
