Finally... Hard Drive has been replaced... files and permissions intact... and it only took 24 hours! Next time the disk is full I'm just going to buy an Xserve and everybody can just deal with new passwords... Comments 4:32:16 PM

Getting ugly in HD upgrade land.Turns out CCC has only limited support for Beige G3s (it is a bit of an odd duck), and the docs suggest I install Mac OS X separately before attempting to clone. SO, here we go... but the limited ATA busses mean I'll have to install the drive on a different machine, put OS X on it, pull it, re-installl in the Beige G3 and then pray CCC can get the job done IT workers earn their money...
