Study says Linux approaches Windows XP usability: "The researchers studied how easily two groups of users could perform tasks using the different operating systems... Linux users, for example, needed 44.5 minutes to perform a set of tasks, compared to 41.2 minutes required by the XP users..." Interesting... Delegates at the Episocpal convention approved the nomination of openly-gay candidate Gene Robinson by a 2 to 1 margin. Bishops are set to vote this morning, and most observers think they, too will vote for Robinson. "I can do more for gay and lesbian folk in the Church by being a good bishop than by being the gay bishop." said the Reverend Canon Robinson.
Rob Ross, Pastor of our church, Holy Trinity in Menlo Park, gave a wonderful sermon about using words in the Bible as 'proof' of God's will. You can find in the centuries-old words some pretty horrific passages: Bob Jones University used scripture to justify its openly racist teachings and policies before the Supreme Court in 1983... |
