New virus? I received email from myself (admin at gulker dot com) this morning, telling me my email account (cg at gulker dot com) was about to expire, and to check the suspiciously-sized attachment for details. Pretty certainly a virus, probably a Windows virus. Interestingly, the email client that claims to have sent the email is called The Bat! I was curious and discovered it was written by RITLabs in the Republic of Moldova. There's no reason to believe these guys have anything to do with this possible virus, I was just amazed to learn about software developers in Moldova... Comments 9:19:07 AM

Novell buys SuSE Linux. This is interesting: virtually every enterprise oriented company in the world, save Microsoft, is now using Linux. Novell and Sun are offering well-behaved Linux desktops, too... Comments 7:55:51 AM
