Yup... there are a bunch of things missing from the new gulker.com... mainly all photos from December 2003 and earlier. Hope to finish up the switchover this week... Comments 8:52:25 AM

Going crazy: still haven't fixed the Comments CGI, even though I've now got the scripts saved in a fashion that produces no errors on my local Mac OS X system (using BBEdit to save the scripts as 'Unix').
I'm being sure to upload them as ASCII files to the server, and their permissions are correct. 2 scripts, adduser and comment_manager work fine. But the reblogger script, the one that actually does the work fails with this error:
So, I guess I'm going to have to learn a whole lot more about perl to fix this one.
The mail problem happened when a wave of spam filled up my mail account at Server Logistics. My email client is used to its own mail server, and didn't remove messages quickly enough. Since much more spam than legit email comes in, the effect was that legit email seemd to disappear. As soon as the mail client pulled things off the server, spam quickly filled it back up. Solution is to clean the server off daily, rather than weekly. Still digging, and learning... |
