 Baching it: Linda's been in New York for a couple of days, and Cassie and I have been left to fend for ourselves. Today was a much-needed exercise in kicking back... other than a 6 mile jog, running errands, catching a couple of brief, work-related calls and dropping in on father-in-law John, I have done precious little. It's been a good day.
Indeed, so kicked back were we, that I decided to pass on my usual solo dining option, the bar at Carpaccio, Menlo Park's reliable and very user-friendly neighborhood hang out. A New York Steak, earlier purchased at Trader Joe's along with a bag of 'Very American' torn lettuce tossed in home-made white balsamic vinaigrette turned quickly into one of my - and Cassie's - favorite meals. A day as good as it can be absent the most special female in my life... |

Robin 'Roblimo' Miller has an interesting take on why Linux may do better if it's more of a resource hog than Windows Vista. Modern distros actually require reasonably beefy systems compared to days of yore, but Vista will be a whole new ballgame, sure to warm hardware vendors' hearts.. Comments 9:17:21 PM
