Two firsts this weekend: I planted tulips and daffodils (spouse claims she's wanted them for 22 years, but I don't remember any 'lobbying') and I put winter vegetables - peas, lettuce and onions - into Dotcom Garden. Winter vegetables grow slowly thanks to short days: it's a different feel altogether from the bursting-with-life spring and summer garden...
