Cool weather crops

So, here’s what we think we’ll put into Dotcom Garden come March, if the weather et al. cooperates (we’ll start watching soil temperatures soon), and we’ve sent off for seeds and a seed starter so we can have some seedlings ready to go when conditions are right.

Cassie and I got more done in the Garden than planned today, thanks in part to the new tiller. We have six beds tilled, raked and amended and ready to settle under the (predicted) rain we should be seeing. I’ll hold off amending the two tilled beds adjacent to the rosemary: I don’t think I’ll be planting there until later spring. The box labelleled fallow to the right of the chard may get snow peas. Sunset seems to feel that February is not too early for ornamental edibles like chard, kale and lettuce. I’m having trouble finding plants locallywe had  a bad cold snap a couple weeks ago, and I think the nurseries are holding back a bit
