MS GM slams HP iPod deal; HP says no WMA for now: Macworld UK has a pair of articles that shed light on controversies surrounding last week's news that HP and Apple had reached a manufacturing deal that will put HP-branded iPods in the hands of its customers, along with HP desktop and laptop computers equipped with iTunes. Microsoft to Extend Support for Windows: Microsoft Corp. will extend support for Windows 98, Windows 98 S.E. and Windows Millennium Edition through June 30, 2006, the company said Monday, reversing a decision from last month. AP via AlwaysOn Network. Interesting... I think MS realizes that a lot of those seats might jump to Linux desktops.
