Contax G1

A WWW page for photographers working with the Contax G1
First color pictures from a brand new G1: B&W pix are here

Film is Kodak Gold 200 color negative: machine proof prints scanned on an Apple One Color scanner using Ofoto software. Final edit in Photoshop 3.0, with GIF conversion via Clip2Gif.

These pictures are just the result of trying out the new camera: no great themes, here.. just itching to see what the new camera can do. Stay tuned for high-res scans.

The "Market" shots are playing with the Planar's contrast and saturation - the red posts and gray door pop nicely, even in the 35-cent prints. "Den"(The 8-bit GIF pallette doesn't do the "Den" photo justice.. jpeg version TK soon) and Self-portrait 2 play with unadjusted tungsten light. Self-portrait 1 shows the camera balancing tungsten background with strobe-on-camera. Both Self-portraits take advantage of the camera's auto focus - I just turned the camera around and pushed the button.
