It pleased me that the new Mustek scanner would work on our aging G4 Cube under Mac OS 9… until I tried to do a high-res scan of an 11×14 print this PM. The cheesy Color It software blew up, and crashed the OS, a half dozen times before I figured out, Myst-like (click and try, and try again), how to work around its many bugs.

So I think we’ll put Parallels on the Intel Mini, install Windows and hope the Mustek’s Windows software is better, and/or more stable on Win. I’ve been using Windows XP on Parallels at work… by and large at least as reliable (sometimes more so) than Win XP on my Thinkpad…
