It’s so good to be back home, especially in time for Unity Sunday (once known as Homecoming Sunday) when all of the congregations (8:00 AM, 9:10, 10:00 and 5:00 PM) at our church meet for a biannual all-in-one sevice.

Our congregation’s children had prepared life-size renditions of the 12 apostles, each one adorned with the same “Hello. my name is…” sticker we use at church functions. “Hello, my name is Peter” or Paul, or Thomas or Barnabas… well, you get the picture. Judas, so wonderfully rendered here, was my favorite: he is clearly conflicted, and struggling with his faith: his plight begs the mission to which all true Christians are called, wherever they may be on their path. Yes we must forgive, and accept, even Judas…
