We’ve been walking here for the 17 years we’ve lived in Northern California. Palo Alto’s Enid W. Pearson Arastradero Preserve has 10.25 miles of trails tucked into its 609 acres of savannah and broadleaf evergreen forest. I took my Leica, set for black & white and the new RCA digital voice recorder. As we walked up the approximate 500 foot rise from the smaller of the park’s 2 parking lots, I recorded my thoughts while puffing up the slope: here they are as a podcast.
Cassie and Linda met a couple of friendly bicyclists on a fire road near the heart of the park, seen here. We also met another Australian Shepherd, about Cassie’s age, whose owner swore by accupuncture as a cure for arthritis. I don’t think we’ll be podcasting regularly: this is only the second ever on gulker.com… it’s not like I need something else to do…
