Why rising at 6:00 a.m. is a good thing

Dawn sky over Lake Lagunita

Dawn this morning was rather pretty in a subtle way. A clear sky greeted us as we stumbled out into the darkness, returning to our rise-before-dawn schedule, complete with a sliver of a crescent moon (just visible in the upper right of this snap). Some clouds on the horizon caught the sun’s first rays as we rounded Lake Lagunita: the kind of thing you get to see, and appreciate, if you make it a habit to rise early. It occurs to me that I’ve met the dawn nearly every day for some 25 years now with one Linda Hubbard Gulker

Ah . . . the sure promise of celestial brightness and clarity, soon to radiate the goodness of light and the vibrancy of life . . .

Kind words. Paul.. Greg, that’s quite poetic - Wisconsin has a bard, it would seem…
