Linda and I may stay in the City tomorrow night, in which case, I’m not sure I’ll be updating the blog for a while. Hopefully, I’ll be back at the helm by the end of next week. Linda’s blog should be au courant in the interim. Wish me luck…

I’ve spent a couple of full days wrapping up things at work and home, trying to clear the decks for the upcoming week. We bought door knobs and light fixtures for the bedroom currently in remodel. I emailed the painter, and asked him to coordinate with the contractor. I scanned a Joe Ferris painting, a chore long promised to Nils Grevelius. I’m thinking of getting my iPod set up for the hospital with cheery, hopeful tunes. We’ll be dining with Mike, Cathy, Julie and John this evening, opening some Paul Hobbs’ Pinot Noir that’s long been set aside for a special night.
Tomorrow we’ll celebrate All Saints at a church in the City, before reporting to UCSF for more pre-op, including a ’stealth’ MRI. At some point, I think I’ll have a really bad haircut. Rounding up books and such: don’t think there’s WiFi in the room. Surgery Monday to biopsy the tumor’s ‘hotspot’, followed by a few day’s recovery. Next up, a verdict on further treatment…
