A cheer-up

Linda’s blog cheered me today. I was pleased that she’s back out on the tough Big Dish circuit, a tension-burner if ever there was one (I can’t wait to be back on the Dish, and other local trails). But as is her wont, Linda stopped to photograph amusing animals, great and small. Our 25 years together has often been spent being amused by God’s creatures, including the herd at Stanford. It’s so Linda to wonder how a lone banana slug made its way to the dry Oak woodland…

That remarkable banana slug is so apropos of its name . . . I thought initially it was a peel. Pass along my best to Linda.

What are you doing beyond walking for PT, Chris? Keep those muscles toned . . .

Muscle tone in upper body is zero after 4 month absence from gym. Walking minimum 1 mile a day… rehab to start sooner than later, I hope… I’m ready!

Hope to see you both on the Stanford trail - I will be out tomorrow, and looks like mostly positive and more. I saw you at distance the other day, and I am very impressed with you -

I am now doing the dish on weekends and maybe more soon - Patches the Aussie does not appreciate being left behind for the dish runs - but he would complain if I took him anywhere near it. See you, Linda, and Cassie some early morning with the great blue heron that seems to not mind our presence
    - your neighbor and early morning jogger, and Aussie companion, Paul

Cheery note, Paul… I’m going to walk the dish as soon as I can. Hope to see you & Partches on the regular circuit soon…
