Christmas in New Mexico

Beautiful light today as we took a Christmas day drive through pueblos just north of Santa Fe: Tesuque, Pojoaque and San Ildefonso. We stopped at the seemingly only open gas station for miles, and I snapped the empty parking lot under a luminescent sky with a new 12-24mm Nikkor G ED on my D50 (yes, my present to myself when my plans for the Leica M8 fell through). Next up, feet by the fire, with a book. Dear, I saved us lots of money…
