A pleasant New Year’s eve walk

For the first time in many weeks, Linda, Cassie and I walked together through Menlo’s gray-skied morning, looping down to the San Mateo foot bridge and back up the bank of San Francisquito Creek. My left side felt as good as it has since surgery, and I was greatful for the air and company. Dawn Jogger friend Judy came by and even commented how well we seemed to be doing. Later, Linda saw, and was very interested in, a very pretty Candy Apple Red (I think) ‘68 or ‘69 Camaro parked on Bay Laurel (shades of our muscle-car youth). I was content to see how the mechanics of walking were coming back together. Time to start getting some of these well-rested muscles back to work, I think…
