A pleasant, quick and healthy way to get to work

Sunrise sky from Palo Alto Station this AM

Traffic on the path from San Jose Diridon station to the VTA stop on the way to AdobeA 9:00 AM meeting at Adobe meant getting right up (5:45 AM) to get in my 1.8-mile Cassie walk, before getting cleaned up and starting off at 7:00 to walk the mile to the Marguerrite 7:30 B-Clockwise shuttle to the Palo Alto Transportation Center and Caltrain.

My goal is to continue walking 4 miles minimum on work@Adobe days, 2.5 miles on work@home days and 3.5 mile-hikes on weekends, to steadily build back strength, cardio and coordination. This should help me with endurance, chemo fatigue et al., too.

Anyway goal was the 7:58 CalTrain, putting me at Adobe at 8:40 AM after the short pleasant walk down the path (pictured) past the VTA stop that takes one the .6 mile to Adobe’s offices. However, this morning everything clicked, and I just made the 7:48 baby bullet train, putting me at Adobe at 8:30, with extra time to answer email, get coffee and other rituals, and do a little work on a proposal.

The Lumix now has a Tamrac shoulder bag, so I can bring along a flash, filters, polarizer, spare batteries and card reader… so I’m doing a rare blog-from-work (on my tea break), as much to test the system as anything else. Sorry, boss, I’m going back to work, now… Actually there is another ulterior motive for this test, stay tuned for some blog news…
