A Mac ‘Get Things Done’ client appears

Imagine my surprise… while netsurfing last night I somehow stumbled over Ghost Action, a Get Things Done client app for Mac. I downloaded the trial and began noodling with it, not really intending to start using it and figuring I’d have to go back over my GTD course on the iPod Shuffle where I’ve been listening to it during commute time. So I poked a few things into it, was surprised how simple and straightforward it was. Hmmm.
The real epiphany came when I got to work this morning. I’ve been using another very favorite, very simple program along with GTD - Mac OS X’s Yellow Stickies. I have an ‘inbox’ on one long sticky, and use the Font Panel to set strike-through on ‘done’ items (I’m kind of auditing the process while learning GTD). I got in early meaning to get some organizing done and I just started putting projects and context into Ghost Action. In about 15 minutes I had everything off Yellow Stickies and over in Ghost Action and have been there ever since. Wow.
So, we’ll see what happens… can a Product Manager be productive with GTD and a disarmingly simple app? We’ll see… I’m following the GTD advice and keeping the same tool and setup at home as at work…

[…] This morning I updated my Ghost Action to-do list, and actually got through a few pieces in the stack: so we’re on a journey back to better organization, hopefully. […]
Very interested in any updates on your experiences with this app!
[…] Mail - I like the new Notes and To Do feature. To Do has taken over GTD chores from Ghost Action (which won’t run under Leopard) at least for the time being. […]
