Friends Mike and Cathy were amazingly kind to host a birthday dinner for me last night. An already wonderful, and very generous event (the food was to-die-for good) became really memorable when John and Julie announced they are expecting in November. My ‘birthday present,’ pictured on Linda’s blog, was a pacifier labelled ‘Happy Birthday Grandpa.’

Here’s the whole gang: Mike, Julie, John, Linda, Cathy moi, Terye, Josh, Lauren and Jacob. Dinner was a mexican menu from Alana’s: the Chile Relleno alone was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted…
