Well, no doubt about it. As we ramp the steroids way down, the edema – brain swelling – ramps up. At today’s very low (comparatively) steroid dose, I can only just barely walk. So the devil’s dilemma is ramp back up, but then live with increased weakness of my large muscles, and a longer rehab. Yuk…
