I’m on methotrexate for rheumatoid arthrits, and this is supposed to be a milder form of chemo. I absolutely, without question ! have “chemo-fog” and I’d like to know if anyone else has this from taking methotrexate. Unfortunately, I have to take this for the rest of my life, so I really need to know! Thank you.
You are not alone. I take 17.5 mg on one day a week. It has to be a Saturday, because besides the fog, I also have nausea for 2 days, sometimes accompanied by chills (as I write this, I am in work with my winter jacket on). I have been taking this for about 1 year, and the side efects seem to be getting worse with time. I am definitely going to talk with my rheumatoligist, because I do not want my weekends wiped out anymore.
I was on high dose methotrexate 15 yrs ago for cancer . I did have chemo fog ,I take an antioxidant formula ( 2 tablets , once a day) available from Our Health Co-op . It has helped me , but everone needs to do their own quest for information.
