Light, camera….

Leica M8 w/Metze Flash Full, busy week at work, and we pushed our new physical training regime as well. I’m very tired again tonight (’good tired’), and hoping to doing a little ‘noodling’ (’me’ time) before heading off to bed.

For the last couple of weeks I’d have been in bed already: but maybe our our stamina is back a bit this week, too. We’re past the fatigue ‘trough’ that usually hits about 3 days after chemo (anemia maxes out about then, too).

So I brought out the cameras again, in particular the Leica M8 and it’s awesome Metze flash, which came 2 months ago, but I haven’t had time to play with. The M8 is working fine, unlike the Digilux II, which will soon be headed to Leica repair.

I like playing with flash: most photographers of my generation love available light and eschew the flash. I like both. The Metze has 2 flash heads in it, it’s powerful, and I’m guessing it will take some very interesting photos once I figure out its Germanic technology and interface (the manual is thicker than the Leica’s).
