Chateau d'Ige

Woke up this morning at the very lovely Chateau d’Igé, a hotel in the tiny village of Igé, outside Macon. Linda and came down Monday afternoon on a TGV, were met at the station by friends David and Ricky Perry who spend a few months a year in a house at Ameugny, near Taizé, where a wonderful ecumenical faith community is based.

We hiked in Cluny this morning, before driving to Ameugny for a great lunch with the Perrys (followed by, of all things, a nap) and then a hike to Taizé and back. A house in France looks better all the time…

    Chris,

Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences and photographs with us. My mouth is watering as I imagine what aromas fill the air, I bet the food is the best.
