Bush and Benedict

President Bush met with Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican yesterday. While Benedict brought up the topic of Iraq, he seemed to be concerned with the place of Christians in Iraq, according to the NY Times report. The topic of ‘unjust war’ apparently did not come up.

Hard to believe men of faith, Christians, would not be more concerned about the morality of this conflict, but then these men are both ‘conservative Christians.’ I find it hard to know how you can be selectively Christian.  Benedict has made it clear you can’t be ’selectively Catholic’… (photo  courtesy Osservatore Romano)
