Breakfast in the garden

Breakfast basketWe’d rather be out walking a mile or so, but the steroids, I think, have produced a rather more wobbly me than I’d like as of this AM, so we opted for breakfast in the garden, instead. I really need the crew at UCSF to help me figure out a balance between enough steroids to control edema, but not so much they leave me this weak.

Sweet spouse Linda dug out a basket into which I could pack all the ingredients - fruit, yougurt, coffee, papers and, of course, pills - for the short journey. Cassie played one of her favorite games - ‘bucket’ - she loves to chase and bat empty plastic plant containers around (the empty TJ basil buckets worked just fine) - while I read about the final Sopranoes episode (I couldn’t stay up late enough to actually watch).

Linda had a great arugula salad at Carpaccio a week or so ago, so a pack of arugula seeds came home: this morning I managed to get a good sized planter filled with a mix that should be good for arugula. Linda’s salad had a mild flavor… the seeds she brought home - Rocket - are bit zippier, I think…
