According to Macintouch, reporting from WWDC, the Finder, of all the ancient, crufty pieces of long-overdue-for-a-change pieces of Mac software, will be updated in Mac OS X 10.5 ‘Leopard.’ Spaces - multiple Finder desktops a la Linux - is another fave. Saints preserve us…

    Chris– I agree; the most used piece of Mac software, the Finder, finally gets its MacOS X make-over. –Nick

    Let’s hope they built it from scratch - and not on top of the old code… I was going to buy the 8-core Xeon just to get rid of the infamous spinning beach ball….

    Yeah, it kinda looks like a lick of paint to me. Then again, the networking stuff sounds slick, and that must be new code, surely. The OS X Finder has been awful with networked drives in my experience.
