Big moon; dotcom garden gets a hand

A big, pretty moon greeted Cassie and I as we stepped into Oak Knoll Lane for our walk this morning. We had a good weekend: friend Carol McCrary from South Pasadena was in San Francisco this weekend for cooking classes, and came down Saturday afternoon for a visit.
Carol is also a gardener, so we stopped at the Roger Reynolds nursery on our way back from the Caltrain station, knowing it would amuse Carol. I proudly showed off Dotcom Garden, at which point Carol, without being asked weeded the planters and set out the 18 lettuce seedlings I’d brought home - all in the space of about 15 minutes. Carol, if you couldn’t tell, is a sweetheart… and pretty quick with a hand spade, to boot…
