An anonymous reader left a comment that I should call the new garden web 2.0 garden, and move on from ‘Dotcom.’ That’s probably a good idea: above is a scan of photo of a kitchen garden that graces the headquarters of Sunset Magazine, which just happens to be located here in Menlo Park.
I really like the ‘look and feel:’ I think this may well be the model for ‘Garden 2.0.’ After we get our patio remodel under control, I think we’ll tackle our jardin potager. We’ll keep the raised planters, but shredded bark will replace the gravel, and I think we’ll plant ornamentals to soften the edges as seen above. There’ll be a path to the gate, and a place with a table and couple of chairs, I think. Just starting to think this through….

This afternoon I’ll start simmering a tomato reduction that will be part of dinner tonight (along with grilled Chilean Sea Bass, Shitake mushrooms and baby squash). There are a few peppers and herbs left to pick, and then we’ll start on Garden 2.0…. […]
