We’ve been doing a set of exercises recommended by a physical trainer at UCSF’s Osher center for 3 weeks now. Already I’m finding I can stand up, lift my left foot and do lots of other things that have been hard thanks to the weakness caused by the massive steroid dose I was given to combat the edema caused by the radiation therapy.
I’ve worked with PTs before, but never with one who mainly works with people who have neuronal pathway problems, rather than the more usual orthopedic issues. I work out for 30 minutes, 5 times a week… I also tap my challenged left foot 25 times an hour as a way of reconnecting to the brain…
