First day of the rest of my life

That was certainly how it felt today: no scramble to be ready for the train to Adobe and other features of my life for the last 8 months. However, I think it’s important to have goals and structure in my new life, so that’s what we worked on today.

We decided we’ll continue to get up at 6:00 AM, with Linda. She’ll dress and head out on her jog, while I’ll do my strength training followed by an aerobic workout on a stationary bike. Then shower and breakfast, putting us at our desk by 8:00 AM.

The new (beta) schedule has time for scanning news, blogging, reading and learning, writing and scanning in the photo archive. One hour is set aside for ’synthesis, free association and creativity.’ We’re still wrapping up Adobe stuff and clearing the decks for the new life this week, so we’ll be phasing in the new schedule over the next couple of days.

We’ve also picked some events - Lunch 2.0, the AlwaysOn Going Green conference - to attend - we don’t want to be housebound, current DMV driving restriction notwithstanding. Anyway, tomorrow I’ll be up at UCSF for a day’s worth of MRIs, oncology consults chemo and physical rehab…
