After 13 years, church in the morning….

So, for the last 4 years, we’ve been going to a 5 PM service at Trinity Episcopal Church. Three weeks ago our new Rector, Mike Spillane introduced a new schedule with 8:30 and 10:30 services linked by a forum on faith issues. It makes a lot of sense, and everyone has worked hard to bring energy and joy to these services. Amen.
But it means getting up and going to church on Sunday morning, something we haven’t done regularly for 13 years, we realize. I used the opportunity to set the Leica D2 to black & white, and snapped this photo of newly-ordained deacon Beth Foote reading the gospel today. I have since re-programmed the D2 not to make any beeps, clicks or obnoxious noises… oops…

Just stumbled across your site. I’ve never noticed you taking pictures during services, so I’ve never been disturbed by any beeps or whatnot. It’s nice to see these photos.
