Linda, Grace and Julie in Oakland

Julie with Grace in OaklandGranddaughter Grace is now 2 weeks old, so we traveled over to Oakland for a viewing, with a stop in San Francisco for brunch (at Cafe Tartine in the Mission district) with Denver-based friends Ginger and Stan. Grace has gained a pound and grow an inch since she was born. She opens her eyes and fusses like the gorgeous little baby girl she is (do we note a little granddad prejudice?).

Mom Julie is recovering, and very happy not to be pregnant, especially 9-months pregnant. Grandmother Linda is just thrilled with the latest member of the family, and is comparing notes with Julie about baby John vs. baby Grace. Currently we are debating whether Dr. Spock is sufficiently current a source for new-baby and new-mother advice. Looks like the whole gang will be coming to our house for Thanksgiving this year… Grace’s first trip to the Peninsula…

Yes, a very pretty baby. How many kids do you and Linda have, Chris?

    Great website/blog

How about this criminal administration having the gall to criticize the fairness of the recent coronation/election of Putin after the dirty tricks they pulled in the Florida election of 2000?
