Makes me feel safe: first the FBI et al. have been given unprecedented powers to listen in on American’s phone and email conversations, which is spooky in that Big Brother kind of way. And now we hear that the FBI can’t be bothered to pay its phone bill for a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act wiretap. Sheesh… apparently one FBI office owed $66,000…

Linda thinks I’m nuts, devoting so much interest to the Tata Nano, but I think small cars are going to be a big deal as huge developing economies like India and China start to mature. Anyway, here’s Hindu Business Times’ story on the development of the Nano (complete with only photo I’ve seen of the engine) and India Times story about the reasons for high-end automotive supplier Bosch’s participation. We need to be putting green electric technology into these nation’s hands… the Nano’s web site is here, BTW…
