Last words on the Tata Nano

Linda thinks I’m nuts, devoting so much interest to the Tata Nano, but I think small cars are going to be a big deal as huge developing economies like India and China start to mature. Anyway, here’s Hindu Business Times’ story on the development of the Nano (complete with only photo I’ve seen of the engine) and India Times story about the reasons for high-end automotive supplier Bosch’s participation. We need to be putting green electric technology into these nation’s hands… the Nano’s web site is here, BTW…

    Liked the Hindu Business Line Article. I found their implementation of the ‘innovation around cost’ model very interesting. Also found this article highlighting that they even got their vendors involved almost from the start of the project (http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/articleshow/2694194.cms).
