vmware fusion on leopard

VMWare Fusion for Mac appears to be a worthy competitor to Parallels (the 3.0 version of which reliably produces a kernel panic on my Intel Mini). Installation was straightforward, with just a little bit of OS juggling required to install Windows XP from CD (I needed to insert my NT disk to prove I had a license for the XP upgrade).

Fusion runs Win XP snappily, and, so far, stably. Next up, we’ll set up an Ubuntu virtual machine, and see how well that runs. More data TK as we gain experience…
