Big Days, back-to-back

So today we spent the day in San Francisco: working with our physical rehab trainer, working out in the gym at UCSF, getting a chemo infusion and having lunch at Falafil King.
Tomorrow, we’re flying down to Los Angeles for a gathering of the L.A. Herald Examiner staff (it folded - gasp - almost 20 years ago). We couldn’t have done this a couple months ago - I really do think we’re getting a little stronger. We may try a little iPhone blogging…

Dear Chris,
I was nosing around blogs looking for info on the Herex reunion and came across your site…First off, I’m glad to hear you’re on the upswing from cancer and your treatments and that you’re making progress. I was saddened though to find you were ill at all. Keep up the good work. You were one of the shining lights of my experience at the Herald and I always enjoyed spending time with you on stories. I think of you often, thought of you just the other day when it seemed like a great day to go to the Loch Ness Monster pub, but of course it’s not there.
I don’t think I’ll make it to the reunion…I have a class until 10, alas.
Chris, all the best to you and Linda. Keep on getting better.
