San Francisco: capping a big week

Almost capping off a really big week, friend and Occidental College classmate Stuart Rosenberg (center) drove me up to the Slanted Door restaurant in the Ferry Building yesterday, where we met fellow classmates Jon Merksamer (left) and Jimmy Graham.
As can be seen, it was a beautiful day, and the much-vaunted restaurant did not disappoint (Vietnamese crepes, shaken beef, sauteed prawns, halibut and hoisin spareribs). It had been years since I’d seen Jimmy, and a year since I’d last caught up with Jon. The week’s last big event: corned beef and cabbage tonight with Julie, John and Grace…
