Back at it

We have had a pretty amazing week, if only because we found we had the stamina to do it all. Back-to-back birthday dinners, dinner with former startup colleague and friend Brad Giles, a day at UCSF working on strength, coordination and forging new neuronal connections (and, oh yeah, chemo), a solo trip to Los Angeles for the L.A. Herald Examiner re*nion, lunch with three college buddies at the Slanted Door in San Francisco and family tradition corned beef and cabbage dinner with Julie, John and Grace (also celebrating Julie’s 30th).

This week would be calm were it not for looming taxes (almost finished today) and a small blizzard of insurance forms due by month’s end. My incentive for plowing through this stuff is to get to planning garden 2.0

[…] We also did our ‘Heidi exercises - 40 minutes of work aimed at building neuronal connections in our left side - and took what has been a 40 minute walk (it only took 35 today). The photo above, snapped on a recent morning walk, kind of sums up my feeling today. I’m getting stronger, and I have more energy… I know that cancer has downs as well as ups, so I’m enjoying this while I may… next op: Garden 2.0… […]
