Baylands

Palo Alto’s Baylands, in particular Byxbee Park, has become a weekend destination for Linda and I again. Linda can jog a loop trail while I walk from the parking lot to the dam that separates the marsh from the Bay.
Each of our efforts take about an hour, and we link back up in the parking lot. That’s Linda above, jogging along a ridge. Left, we see some of the wetland’s spring residents. Linda got some pix, too.
The hour’s effort is good for both of us: my weight is now down 15 lbs. since I’ve dropped to nearly zero steroids, and am working out at the gym, doing neuronal connection exercises and walking almost every day. Full schedule, but it’s helping me get stronger - slowly, but increasingly surely. Baylands was a regular venue for our pre-cancer jogs together (and with Cassie - on a leash, of course)…

Congratulations on your fitness efforts Chris! It really shows and you just look stronger and stronger and fitter and fitter. It’s great. How nice that the two of you can actually do a dawn outing together again. Blessings on you!
[…] Our Baylands walk this morning couldn’t have been prettier. Shorts-and-T-shirt weather has (finally) returned, and I made the roughly 1-mile walk 10 minutes faster than last time. […]
