Olympic protesters walk up Embarcadero by the Bay Bridge

Our day started with the usual Wednesday Caltrain/Muni journey to UCSF: there was a bit of added interest when the N Judah streetcar was halted for 15 minutes near the Bay Bridge and we glimpsed a group of pro-Tibet would-be torch watchers, seen above. We were late for our 90-minute physical rehab session, but very pleased to hear our physical therapist say that we’re noticeably stronger now that we’re off steroids.

Chemo followed phys rehab and the cab back to Caltrain got caught in the traffic backup caused by the surprise torch ‘resurfacing’ on Van Ness. We got home in time to learn about - and deal with - a financial screw up, leaving no time for a nap or much else. We are only now sitting down to blog… photo snapped by iPhone…

Apparently some people took this moment to protest the lousy quality of shoes coming out of China since dollars lost all their value. If they don’t take dollars, maybe they’ll take regime change.
