Off to France

We’ve been a bit busier - and less attentive to the blog - than usual, owing to the upcoming trip. We’re off to Montpont-en-Bresse, a small village in southern Burgundy, where Linda’s rented a nicely restored water mill house. The object of the trip is to spend 10 days mostly living French country village life (with a few day trips, perhaps).

Croissants and cafe-au-lait in the morning, leisurely lunch followed by walks in the countryside and dinner in - or out at a lovely country restaurant. the Bresse region is famous for its chickens - and chicken dishes. We’ll be shopping for bread and cheese and wine in the village most mornings, with a ride to Louhan (the ‘big’ town nearby) on market day. Naturally, we’ll be blogging: Montpont-en-Bresse, like most of the French countryside, is wired for broadband. 18th century house, 21st century network

Looks like a fantastic place. Am bookmarking it for future reference. Have a great time and a few glasses of Beaune for me!
